A talented guitarist and composer from Junín, province of Buenos Aires , Argentina ; Horacio Laguna made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 1995.

After a long and outstanding career in his homeland (founded the Academy of Folk Dances, hosted his own Radio and TV program Images of my Homeland, aired for six years), he moved to the United States in 1983.

Horacio started as Guitar Instructor and Choreographer of the Argentine Folk Ensemble in Washington , DC .

In 1984 Mr. Laguna established New York City as his permanent residence and started High Level Studies of Harmony and Composition with World-renowned Master guitarist-composer: Jorge Morel.

The following years, Mr. Laguna continued under Maestro Morel's tutoring and alternated his studies with performances in the main cities of the United States and Canada that added to Horacio´s Musical career the recognition of prestigious Festivals, Cultural Centers , Theatres, and Concert Halls. Laguna has pleased the most demanding audiences with his unique style and brilliant technique.

His recitals include guitar solos and guitar and vocals; an emotional part of his performances. He has been enthusiastically acclaimed in North and South America, The Caribbean and Europe .

In 1994 Horacio created "Southamerican Guitars concert" , which was performed twice in the Weill Recital Hall at CARNEGIE HALL.

Mr. Laguna participated on the "VI CLASSICAL GUITAR FESTIVAL OF Great Britain " as a guest of Maestro Jorge Morel, celebrated at West Dean College , Chichester 24th - 30th August 1996.

In 1997 Horacio Laguna created "Guitartango concert", being performed at CARNEGIE Hall on May 31st 1997 , Oct. 24 th 1998 , Dec. 11 th 1999 , Oct. 14 th 2000 and November 10 th 2001 .

On June 27 th 1999 Horacio performed at " Greenwich Polo Classic". A tribute in memory of Susan Barrantes, mother of "H. E. the Duchess of York Sara Ferguson " to benefit the Children's Hospital at Montefiore , New York City.

On Wednesday, Sep. 27 th 2000 "Horacio received the highest artistic recognition" being acclaimed in a Gala presented by U.S. Department of Justice - Immigration and Naturalization Service in New York City .

During "Spring 2000" Horacio Laguna released a C.D. entitled "Tango and Folklore Argentino", manufactured by " Victoria Theodore Records" of New York City ; sponsored by prestigious "La Bella 2001 Nylon Strings Company". About this recording, the press commented: "This is a must have C.D. for those who enjoy a guitar virtuoso playing and appreciate Latin American Poetry as well".

In addition, "The International Library of Poetry" has included seven of Horacio Laguna´s song lyrics in a most highly collection of poetry, they have ever published. "Peaceful Journeys" , consists in a classic, coffee-table quality hardbound Volume that is being distributed in bookstores nationwide.

Since June 2001 Mr. Laguna appears regularly at New York City 's Public Libraries presenting a variety of programs that include tango, latin folklore, jazz, blues, ballads and love songs from around the world.

Having the sponsorship of "La Bella Musical Strings" and the moral support of his family, friends and fans from all over the world, in Summer 2003 Horacio Laguna released "Nocturno" CD Ò . This musical production edited by Global Disc New York was conceived contemplating the preferences of the Audiences that enjoy the sound of a Classical guitar serenading Tango and Love Songs.
